LIM Challenge - Week 30 - Recipe

Good Morning from the Loire. A very mixed week for weather - the weekend was extremely HOT and then Monday we had thunderstorms and lightening all day long with the odd very heavy rain storm. The garden is looking better for the rain and fortunately no storm damage. This week in the fields adjacent to our house, (my craft room/office overlooks them) we have had about 12 sheep grazing. They are not supposed to be there but are escapes from another field a 1/4 mile away. Think the woodman who owns them is on holiday. Its been very entertaining and makes a change from our usual cows we get in there. I digress, my card this week is Monochrome ( one of my favourites).

Recipe: Week 13 - Thank you

Week 15 - Embossing

Week 16 - Butterflies

Week 18 - Monochrome

Week 29 - Things that move.

Have a good weekend and Thank you once again for your lovely comments on last weeks cards.

LIM Challenge - Week 29 - theme - Things that move

Morning everyone from a gorgeous morning here in the Loire. The sun is shinning with it getteing even hotter this afternoon. Watch out swimming pool here I come. A very quick card today. I was looking in my bits and bobs draw and found I had previously cut out a die cut of a bike, so I used this as a stencil (for the shadow) used Tim Holtz distresed ink pad Stormy sky. Cut out another bike die but mounted it on very tiny pads and added a piece of grass cut in green foam. The sentiment was done with my trusty Zyron Runner. Hope you like it and Thank you once again for your comments on my cards last week.

Must dash as shopping to do -my english neighbour fell and broke a rib so we are stepping in to a shopping trip for him - he is on his own as his son is in Russia with his ex wife. Bye for now

LIM Challenge - Week 28 - one layer - Inks Card No 2

I've been playing again, such fun and very inky fingers. They are covered in "RED" ink and I haven't even used any red?? I made a card mask with a diecut - cut out four squares. Each square I masked out again and coloured in with a different ink. Tim Holtz for the top two Crushed Olive and Pumice Stone. The third one is an orange from a different set. I lightly spritz some water on a pad of tissue and wiped off the excess ink to make it lighter. The sunflower stamp (haven't got a clue where that came from - I seem to have a few different stamps) I stamped with a black versamark pad and then watered down some more inks and coloured in with a fine paintbrush. As I don't usually stamp I must admit I suprised myself with the results.

Got to go and feed my English neighbours cat Boris. His owner is in UK for a few days.

LIM Challenge - Week 28 - One Layer - Inks

Have now returned from my very quick (but very enjoyable) long weekend away in UK. My son and his wife were very suprised to see us and the look on their faces was a picture. Felix's 1st Birthday Party was a huge success.

When I logged on this morning to the LIM Challenge I thought "NO don't do inks" but having had a think about it I came up with this. Hammered Cream Card A6 landscape. I cut a piece of card with a scalloped edge and used it as a mask both sides and just dragged the ink pad along as the card is hammered it picked up the "bumps" I then used Tim Holtz distressed Ink Crushed Olive as recommended by sister Di and stamped the grape vine. Don't really know what I am doing with these stamp pads but had a nice time playing. Off to play some more.
