Less is More Challenge - Week 17- Squares

Good Morning from Echemire, another gorgeous day. Very simple card this week a 5" square, I usually do A6 so this was a nice change. Silver and Gold Nestie Squares and I found a Topper in Silver and Gold in my bits and pieces box which fitted the bill. It would make a nice Anniversary Card but I chose a Thank You peel off as it was "Squarish" and all the others I had are flourishes.

Thank you all once again for the lovely comments on last weeks cards. Really appreciated.

I am "holding the ladder" again as my OH is painting our huge barn. See you soon.

BEWARE: Mr Blogger is playing up again. just tried to leave comments and he won't let me I will try later, I too have lost my followers, where are you !!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIM - Week 16 No 2 Card Butterflies

My 2nd attempt. Butterfly image found on google, printed on to watercolour card and I used my watercolour pens just to highlight. Nestie is just tinted with a purple ink and the sentiment comes from TLC's blog. Made while I was waiting for the Quali to start of the Grand Prix. Off to see who's made it to Pole.

LIM - Week 16 - Butterflies

Thankyou all for your lovely comments and Birthday Wishes from last week. Really appreciated.

Butterflies, I love Butterflies, we get quite a lot in our garden here as we try to grow plants that entice them in. The lovely swallowtails (2 types) we get love the Valerian we have out in the courtyard. A couple of years ago we had a migration of Painted Lady Butterflies, they came in their hundreds, literally. We just happened to be on a South/North path, what a wonderful sight it was too lasted about 3 days. Anyway I digress. My card today is very simple, I cut out the butterfly with a punch from the card but left it joining (its a pop out butterfly punch) I cut another one in spotty paper and wound some thin wire for antenne, the tail is another Marianne die swirls and added a few tiny pink gems. I was undecided whether it needed a sentiment so left it blank. Off to chase the "Butterflies"

Card No 2 for LIM Challange week 15

Well I just had to have another go at this embossing so I used a pearlescant white card and printed on the image I found on Google as soon as it came out of the printer the ink is still wet I covered it in clear embossing powder, then got out the heat gun, it buckled a little but on the advice of you lovely lot I put on a heavy weight and its not too bad. I made it in honour of 2 of my 7 cats. Mr Thomas (Ginger) and his sister Miss Tabitha (Fluffly Tortoiseshell) who are 8 today. They were born across the road at my French neighbours house, their Mummy was a Fluffy Tortoiseshell and had 4 kittens and only Mr Thomas was ginger. I do have a passion for ginger cats, the other one we have is ginger and white called Geoffrey and he is 11.
Must away its tea time. We are 1 hour ahead here.

Less is More Challange - Week 15 - Embossing

Good Morning all LIMettes. This is my "effort " for todays challenge. I am not into stamping so have very limited stamps but found this one and thought it appropriate as it was my 67th Birthday yesterday so I am still celebrating. I used a very pale blue pearlescant card A6 landscape. Cuttlebug embossing folder and silver ink pad and embossing powder. Just highlighted the few flowers across the front with a silver glue stick. Off to watch a little video my son sent me, my grandson of 9 months has just started to crawl and they captured the moment for me and sent it in an e-mail as I live so far away. The wonders of the Internet.

Less is More Challenge - week 14 - Card No 2 white on white

Well I'm back again, must be all that hanging onto the ladder gives me time to think. I had a lightbulb moment with this one.

Hammered white A6 card. Flowerpot is a punch, stem is a piece of straight ridged card and then I cut a circle with a nestie (just the right size) mounted them on foam pads and layered up the tiny flowers also a punch. Added a few tiny white gems for a little sparkle. Hey presto a "Topiary Tree"

Thank you also for the lovely comments of my first effort. Much appreciated.

Less is More Challenge - Week 14 - White on White

Good Morning from a very peacful and quiet corner of the Loire. Our neighbours are having a small lake dug out in their newly acquire plot of land, and we've had a very large digger working all week but today its "tranquil".

Well "white on white" very different and I hope I've done it O.K. I used an A6 linen card turned on its side, two pieces of voile white ribbon to give it a bit of depth and a narrow piece of white grossgrain on top. The butterfly is a Marianne die and I cut one and a half just to give the top half a little more interest. Added 3 white pearls and a "get well soon" die cut.

Must away to hold a ladder as my OH has decided to paint the end of our house and its very tall indeed.
