LIM Challenge - Week 26 - Lucky Dip - Fruity

Good Morning LIMettes. Nice here in the Loire today. OH is out gardening. Done the H... W....... and cleaned the silver so the rest of the weekend is ours. Another Grandprix to watch should be exciting after last weeks race. I shall not be around next week end as we are off to UK to celebrate Felix George's 1st birthday (our first grandson) should be fun as our son and his wife are not expecting us to turn up. Big suprise (I hope).

My card this week is a "get well soon" When I saw the subject for this week I immediately thought of apples. Our trees here are loaded (note - must pick them to take to UK) I have used white hammered cut lengthways (fold at the top) to make a tent shape.

Punches out three red and one green apple and mounted them on to "inchies" coloured with my promarkers. Sentiment done with the Xyron Runner - Font "Chalkboard" and added "Get well soon"

Thanks again to everyone who left lovely comments on my last weeks cards.

LIM Challenge - Week 25 - Recipe - Card No 2 Buttons and Ribbons

Just in from the garden, been watching a family of Golden Orioles which we get every year. They were flying in and out of the old pear tree after the fruit. You would think being the size of a blackbird and bright yellow with black wings I would be able to get a decent photo. Not at all, they are so quick and are very well camouflaged.

Card No 2 - I found these tiny buttons they are not big enough for babies clothes but suitable for dolls clothes and as I have no girl grand babies thought I would use them instead for this challenge. A6 cream hammered landscape. Sentiment done on my Xyron Runner using Chalkboard Font. Scrap green ribbon and also scrap of green spotty paper. Hope you like it.

LIM Challenge - Week 25 - Recipe - Ribbon and Buttons

Good Morning everyone, Thank you all for your lovely comments on last weeks cards. Much appreciated. Sorry I was not able to leave more comments . My visitors have now gone and my house is very quiet. I did enjoy having them. I shall be seeing them again in a couple of weeks as we are coming to UK for 5 days. It is my Grandsons 1st Birthday on the 8th August and to celebrate Paul and Claire are having a BBQ. They think we are not able to come so it will be a very big suprise (I hope) when we turn up.

Back to Buttons and Ribbons. I have used an A6 card turned Landscape Cream Hammered. Cut 3 flowers with a Marianne Creatable die. The paper I used was from my bit box again. The ribbon has got ladybirds and flowers on it and my Sister found it in a cheap shop we have over here called "NOZ" (it sells everything and anything).

Off to the garden now the sun is shinning at last after rain every day since last Saturday. Enjoy your weekend.

LIM Challenge - Week 24 - Circles

Good Morning LIMettes. Not a very nice morning here a little damp after the last few days of gorgeous sunshine. Our neighbour this week has bought a baby goose. I asked if it was for "Christmas Dinner" and was told very firmly NO it was a guard goose who was going to patrol the permiter of their newly acquited land. He is very sweet but cries a lot. She has had him following her and her husband Bruno up the garden and even comes when called. I think I will get to know him quickly as apparently they can be a bit vicious when guarding.
My effort today is a joint one with Di (my sister) here on her hols. I thought of the theme and cut all the pieces out and she was in charge of the glue pot, plus her writing "today". I used two "grass" sizzix dies layered on top of one another to give a little depth, three quickuts footballs and the No 3 is Sizzix Numbers "Lollipop". Hope if mets with your approval.

LIM Challenge - Week 23 - One Layer - Legs

I'm on a roll, Card No 2 if for my niece who is running her first half marathon in September for Dogs for the Disabled. Found the image again on google, copy and pasted into Publisher and added the message with my Zyron Runner.

LIM Challange - Week 23 - One Layer "Legs"

Good Morning LIMettes. Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last weeks cards. Very much appreciated. My visitors have arrived but unfortunately the weather is not that brillant. Haven't even had our dip in the pool this week. They have gone to visit Saumur Market this morning. I am unable to go as my knees are not up to the walking at the moment. "Must be the weather" as our Mum used to say.
Another large branch off the poor pear tree came down the morning Di and Peter arrived (this happened last year also) our French neighbour came round to tell us as she heard it fall. More work to cut it up and get rid of the bullet pears and branches.
i had the idea for my card as we were going to BBQ this evening and I thought tables and chairs all have legs. I found the image on google, copied and pasted into Publisher and then thought "your'e invited" and printed it in the same colour as the seat covers. It is a little pale hope you can all see it OK. Have a good weekend.

LIM Challenge - Week 22 - Shades of Blue - Card No 3

Well "The Tour" has started in the Vendee. We have seen it "in the flesh" so to speak a couple of times. one time it came within a mile of the village. Waited for about 4 hours once, roads get closed off and traffic is banned for almost a day and they flash by in about 2 mins. The cavalcade beforehand is fantastic. This is in honour of the Tour and a useful Birthday Card for my friend who is a keen cyclist for his September Birthday. A5 cream hammered card, landscape, three blue bikes from a sizzix die, must use these more often also.
Two black lines to represent the road and a small happy birthday stamped using my promarker pens.
Off to help saw up some wood a branch came off our very old pear tree, the tree leans at a very odd angle and the weight of the pears snaps it. We lost two limbs last year at this time of year also. The little round pears are like bullets.

Less is More Challenge - Week 22 - Shades of Blue

Morning everyone, another glorious morning here hope it stays that way as my sister Diane and her husband are coming on Wednesday for their annual 2 week stay, can not wait to see them again. The excitment this week started on Monday when my husband went to check the swimming pool about 10 o'clock and saw a young stag down the bottom of the garden/field. We have had hinds and babies before but never a stag. Typical he didn't have the camera with him. Wednesday the electricity workmen we out in force digging a trench to put a new cable in underground and set fire to a hornets nest in a small tree nearby, they didn't realise the tree was hollow as the woodpeckers use it a lot and therefore fire and smoke spread right through it so they had to chop it down to put out the fire. On Thursday we were mowing and tidying up and Robin (my other half) called me and we found a large smooth coated snake (silver and black markings) devouring a very large toad. Quiet gruesome, we have had snakes before but never one actually killing and eating its lunch. Took some photos but don't think I will show you all. It stayed for a while to digest its lunch and then disappeared. So much for a quiet country life.
My card this week is balloons (don't know why I choose balloons they just appealed). I punched four out in different colours of blue and embossed two, one is glitter card and left one plain. Their string is a crealies die called swirls. A simple stamp I had forgotten I had just says "sending a smile" Have a good week-end everyone.
