Less is more Challenge - week 8 - Card No. 2
Thank you once again lovely forum people for our Anniversary Wishes. This is Card No 2 made especially for my lovely French Neighbour's Grandson. Lenny is 1 today and has to spend part of his birthday at the Hospital. He had a burst blood vessel in his brain (cause in pregnancy) and it has affected his co-ordination, so goes for Physo. He is a smashing little boy so hopefully this may cheer him up. I used a DL card (double height to width) backing paper I found in my stash and printed his name on blue card. The number 1 is Sizzix Lollipop dies.

Less is More - Week 8 - Sketch
This is an odd one for me as I don't usually make cards other than A5 which my customers like. Its our 43rd Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday so I used the opportunity to make the card for my husband Robin. He loves butterflies and at one time (in his youth) used to collect them but now he prefers to see them flying. We have two different varities of Swallowtails in our garden so when I found this little topper it was just the job. The topper come from a booklet from Crafty Individuals - Miniatures - Flowers and Butterflies. I mounted it onto a chipboard "inchie" The bottom paper I made on the computer in Publisher. The font is Tabitha. I added a couple of little jewels where the swallowtails "eyes" are. Hope you like it. Just a quick note to say "Thank you" for the Anniversary wishes. What a lovely group of peeps you all are. http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/

Less is more Challenge - week 7 - Card No 2
Its a little chilly in the Loire today so after potting up my geraniums for the summer I came in to craft. Suddenly remembered I had a few stamps and this is one of them, perfect for a Male card.
I used Stazon Ink and just coloured them with gel pens. Found a small piece of glittered paper and 3 Craftwork Card candy buttons which I scored through the middle with a black pen to resemble screws. Hope it is OK for CAS.

Less is More Challenge - Week 7
Today I choose "Football". My husband and I are not fans at all but yesterday we had a visitor who is and as his Grandson is soon to be 11 and doing a lot of training for the under 12's I thought it appropriate.
I used my Cricut cartridge "Soccer" which is brillant for these sorts of cards cut the image from black pearlescant card - 3" high and shadow added a football embellishment and printed Happy Birthday.
This is version 2. I have draw a fine line around to frame it. Thanks Chrissy for the tip. The sentiment is done with my design runner. Font is Chalkboard.

Less is More Challenge No 2 Man's Card
Playing around making men's cards and thought this would fit the bill for http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com Challenge. This is my second entry and I hope it meets the criteria. I found in my "bits box" the striped paper and went from there. It is supposed to represent men's striped summer shorts held up with a belt. The belt is a sizzix long die and the buckle is on the same die. I have used this idea before for mens cards and sometimes put the initial of the person in the corner. Hope you like it.

Less is more - Pastels
This is my entry for the http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com challenge. I got out my cuttlebug folders and chalks for this one. I used a combination of the pencils and block chalks and a Q tip. Just a small flat back pearl to highlight the centre. Hope it fits the challenge.

Buttercup and Daisy
I've been playing. Saw this on the DC gallery and thought it was very pretty so I had a go. The buttercups were made using a woodware punch with 6 petals (I didn't have one with 5) and the stamens with a Nellie Snellen punch. 3 layers on each buttercup.
The daisies are an old daisy punch and Cardcraft Candy for the centre (painted with promarkers for the colour)

Close up of the flowers.
Enjoy......
